Turning a construction company's project archive into a usable public portfolio

The client

Shades Solution is a construction company working across the UK and Sri Lanka. It had substantial proof of its work, but that proof was spread across company documents, project PDFs, photographs, founder material, and an older website structure.

The job was not to invent a more impressive company. It was to make the real company easier to understand.

What we built

Ether Labs reviewed and organised 106 source items, including 101 images and five PDFs, then mapped that material into a stable public website.

The resulting site includes:

• -17 project entries built from the company's real project material
• -four service groups covering the work Shades actually delivers
• -clearer company, founder, service, and project paths
• -a direct route from project proof to a quote enquiry

The important design decision

The strongest construction websites are not won by adding more marketing language. They are won by making the evidence easier to scan.

We kept the visual system direct and architectural, then used the project archive as the centre of the experience. The website acts as an organised layer over the company's existing proof rather than a replacement for it.
